One of our main goals at The Beauty Barn® is to deliver subtle, natural results to our patients and to work with them to make them feel like the most confident, glowing versions of themselves. This is one of the pillars in Physician Assistant Brian Palms’ approach to patient care in aesthetics.
A former Emergency Medicine PA, Brian has been working in the healthcare field for over 10 years. During his time at The Beauty Barn®, Brian has seen thousands of patients and has trained under industry leaders while completing advanced training. His compassion, intellect, advanced training, and wit make him a provider who cares deeply for his patients and their individual goals and needs, delivering results that leave people wondering how his patients look so good.
Brian has been with The Beauty Barn® for 4 years and remains just as committed to his patients as when he first came on board. As a dad of two little girls and a huge pizza enthusiast, Brian brings a sense of joy to any room (or barn!) he walks into.
Q&A with Brian Palm, PA-C
How long have you been in medicine and aesthetics?
I’ve been a PA since 2013 and spent 12 years working nights in the Emergency Dept. I’ve been injecting aesthetically since 2020 after being trained by a Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills.
What inspired you to work in aesthetics?
With the ER getting busier and my two girls getting older, I knew I needed a career change so I could also focus more on raising them and going to their dance recitals, soccer games, etc. I figured: if I could put people’s faces back together after a traumatic injury, SURELY I could do it in an aesthetic sense.
What is one thing you wish more patients understood before starting aesthetic treatments?
I think the biggest misconception with aesthetic treatments is that none of them are one-size-fits-all. What works for one person, may work differently for someone else. Each patient has different anatomy, physiology, medical history, and genetics. At The Beauty Barn®, we cater each treatment.

What is one beauty, skincare, or wellness product you always have with you?
WATER!
What is your favorite local restaurant, coffee shop, or place to visit?
I will die on this hill: the best pizza in the area is Little Rosa’s Pizza in Holly Springs. I am a certified pizza specialist and I also know they are opening a location in Hickory Flat.
Brian’s Approach to Injectables
What injectable treatments do you specialize in or enjoy performing most?
I love treating patients with Botox and seeing them in 2 weeks after the medication has had the chance to take full effect… ESPECIALLY new patients that have never been treated before.
What is your personal favorite treatment for yourself?
While I was fortunate enough not to be born with RBF, I try to keep my angry lines in check with Botox.
What is one injectable treatment you think is underrated?
Juvedérm to the cheeks is the unsung hero. Most people know what BAD filler looks like. Fortunately, that’s not something we do at the Barn. Adding volume to your cheeks adds lift, contour, and brightness. And just about EVERYONE is a candidate!
How do you approach creating natural-looking results?
By not doing too much! Everything we do at the Barn should be subtle. And the amount of volume we add really depends on the patient’s anatomy. Experienced injectors are able to differentiate between complimenting a patient’s own anatomy versus doing too much and overfilling an area. Trust me, you’re in good hands here.
What is your best advice for someone considering injectables for the first time?
That it’s okay and NORMAL to be nervous! You’re supposed to be! One of my favorite things that new patients say to me is: "I don’t like needles." Good, me neither. Nobody likes needles! You’re not supposed to. But fortunately you are in the care of some of the areas GREATEST injectors. I have never had to stop doing a treatment due to discomfort. We have ALL of the comfort measures here, and we tend to be pretty good at keeping the mood light and keeping your brain distracted.
What do you think makes The Beauty Barn® experience different?
We actually care about your results. I don’t WANT people knowing you’ve come to see me. I want them to look at you and say “oh my goodness you look amazing!” or “you look so rested! Did you just go on vacation???” I think one of our specialties is making people look amazing while also looking natural.
